Day 15!

Billings, MT to Hardin, MT - 52.1 miles, 3:36

Only 52 miles! In my "previous life" I never would've believed that 52 miles would be an easy, short ride, but it sure was! It was a perfect day. It was cool, the scenery was great, and it was a wonderful ride.

I started out riding with Bob (from Selah) and Barb. That's Billings way in the background.
Some scenery along the way:

Look at my odometer! 1,000 miles!!! I'm almost a third of the way across the U.S.!!

More of the landscape:

With only 52 miles to ride, we arrived at our destination, Hardin, before noon. Barb, Tracy, Bob, Steven (from North Carolina), Darrell, and I found a great little pizza shop downtown, but we didn't order pizza. We had Indian tacos, and they were so good!

Montana Cow Pie for dessert. YUM!

The woman at the pizza shop was so kind and helpful. She found a driver to take a few of us to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. It was amazing to be in a place where the Native Americans won a battle. Unfortunately, they lost the war. This was my favorite artwork at the monument:

A monument for the horse cemetary:

There is a National Cemetary at the Little Bighorn.

Tomorrow, Wyoming!

Diana~ Before this is all over, said, and done, you will be a survivalist.......many steps ahead of the rest of us. It is so fun to read your commentaries and see the pictures. America does have some beautiful pictures. Did you run into the Obama entourage as you were traveling through Montana? He was there. Keep on pedaling....we are pushing you from here! Susan Rucker

It was almost like a rest day!
Cool pics too. I suppose you kept your head about it all, running around waving your bike all over.

I never knew there was a national cemetary there!

It's so cool to see that smile~
